Ideas I'm exploring

Making AI assistants more useful for small businesses

I'm interested in what happens when AI assistants move beyond simply answering questions.

A lot of AI products can generate an answer. The more interesting problem, to me, is what happens after the answer.

Can an AI assistant understand what a customer is trying to do?

Can it collect the information a business actually needs?

Can it recognise when a person should take over?

Can it help turn a conversation into a useful lead?

Can the same business knowledge work across a website and WhatsApp?

These are some of the questions I'm exploring while building ChatNestly.

Making business software less complicated

I've always been interested in making software that doesn't require a manual just to get started.

As products grow, they naturally accumulate settings, dashboards, options and integrations. Eventually, the product can become more complicated than the problem it was originally built to solve.

I'm interested in finding ways to keep business software powerful without making it feel overwhelming.

ChatNestly is one of my experiments in that direction.

AI + human support

I don't think every customer conversation needs a human, but I also don't think every conversation should be handled entirely by AI.

There is probably a useful middle ground.

AI can deal with repetitive questions, collect basic information and help people get to the right place.

Humans can step in when the situation is complicated, sensitive or simply requires some judgement.

I'm interested in building systems where those two things work together rather than treating them as competing approaches.

Building a real SaaS product

Another thing I'm interested in is the process of taking a product from something that works technically to something people genuinely want to use.

There is a big difference between:

"I built it."

and

"People actually use it."

I'm learning a lot about that difference while building ChatNestly.
